Do we not all agree to call rapid thought and noble impulse by the name of inspiration? Most of us are inspired by someone or the other in this world.

"Try not to become a man of success but a man of value" says Albert Einstein.

"When I first opened my eyes, I saw my first inspiration. She was my God, my world, my family, my life. She was my mother. She always taught me the values, morals and ethics of life and humanity."

Humble salutations to the lady who has made countless sacrifices for me and continues to do so.

Paramahansa Yogananda is a great source of inspiration to many. His works have a lot to teach and shows the way out whenever you are in trouble. He is a great spiritual inspiration and he has carried with him, numerous souls to God. And through his Yogoda foundation (www.yssofindia.org), he still works through his disciples.

"His glowing eyes always seem to look through you and tells you what is the best thing for you to do when you are in difficult situations."

Late Pandit Nikhil Banerjee and Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia's music is always enthralling and takes you out of this world. These stalwarts of music are the masters of their art and they express it best through their instruments - Sitar and Flute.

"With the kind of music they have made and Hariprasad ji still making, I find it difficult to find a better way to relax myself completely during tough times."

Now, this inspiration might take many by surprise. How might he be an inspiration to an engineer? Most of us may think. But here is the man who inspires me for the simple reason that the way he took challenges in his life.

As one of his famous movie dialogues, I truly believe that "No man is great. Great are only challenges that come our way." Who else other than Shri Amitabh Bachchan can prove this statement right?

"His humility and simplicity what fascinates me the most. Whenever I face a hurdle in my life, thinking of him gives me a lot of encouragement and strength to stand up."

There are a few more who inspire me, but I have not highlighted their names maybe because everyone in the world is inspired by them. People like Albert Einstein, Swami Vinekananda, Galileo have tread such marks on this planet, that we are reminded of them whichever road we take!

Last but not the least my greatest inspiration are all those engineers, researchers and scientists whose work has changed the way we think and do things.
